Preparation

After marking the leak, the dig crew dug an access hole and tunneled under the house to get us to the leak. Since the water line was leaking only on the hot side, the customer did not have to shut off all the water coming into their home. Their cold water line was open, and they could use the water as we repaired the other line.

Fixing the Leak

After fixing a leak, plumbers are advised to test the system to see if the water line is fine before closing everything up. And we’re glad we did just that because we noticed another small leak on the other end of the same line after repairing the initial leak.

We determined that the best course of action would be to install a new piece of copper tubing and remove the old line. That way, the homeowner will not have to worry about leaks along that line again.
